Mullaghmore Harbour and Mullaghmore Head
Mullaghmore is beach is situated at the southern end of Donegal Bay and is part of a scenic seaside resort that is hugely popular with locals and tourists. There is a small picturesque 19th century harbour in the centre of the village from which the fishing boats come and go.
A trip around the head of Mullaghmore is considered to be one of the most beautiful loops on the Wild Atlantic Way. A short stop here at the picnic area on the loop will ably demonstrate the courage of the leading International Surfers who surf these waters twice per year with 20 metre waves breaking close to the shore bringing international champions from all over the world including Hawaii and the USA.
These are also ideal waters for the keen angler with many species from Shark to Tope, Mackerel etc. with a number of short and long charter boats available in the Harbour. Activities available range from seal and dolphin watching to whale watching.
